Kata has recently introduced the Bumblebee (KT UL-B-222) to its Ultra Light Collection and already it is being recognized for its super light weight and excellent protection capabilities. The Bumblebee has been awarded the prestigious 2010 reddot Design Award.
The reddot Design Award is an international design competition. This year more than 1,600 companies from 57 countries took part in the competition with a total of 4,252 entries.
The Bumblebee was competing in the “Entertainment Technology and Cameras” – a category that has had winners in previous years such as the iPod nano and the Nikon D3!
As an award winning product, the Bumblebee Ultra Light will be presented in:
- the reddot design museum in Germany
- the reddot Yearbook
- the online exhibition
So what makes the Bumblebee Ultra-Light worthy of this award?
The Kata Bubmlebee-22 UL features a combination of technology, materials and design which embody the ultimate essences of Lightweight Protection without compromises.
It has a specially formed, foam-encased, spring steel Spine Guard for ultimate structural protection and light yet durable RipStop fabrics & meshes. Its Aeriform foams and Spider Webbing straps all join together to create a protective yet fantastically light backpack.
The incredible modularity allows you to make it even lighter by simply removing components that are not necessary for your adventure.
